The Depth Digital Video Recorder is a professional device capable of recording multiple channels of video onto hard disk drives. Utilizing the ability to record up to 16 independent video channels and providing variable amounts of recorded video times (our commercial unit can record up to 4 months or more) without having to deal with obsolete video tapes. Normal video tape systems record only a week or so and they have to be changed. This system has no tapes and records over the oldest clips once the maximum recording time has been reached. This allows for a near maintenance free video system allowing employees and security personnel to be free to perform other tasks or duties.

The recorder itself is completely self contained and utilizes one of the finest operating systems on the market, Windows XP®. This allows for complete flexibility to upgrade the unit for future development and maintains a more stable environment for the recording mechanism to operate under. It operates as any standard Personal computer allowing for a shorter learning curve. The recorder is subjected to a series of quality control tests before it is installed to insure device dependability under various operating conditions.

The unit has the appearance of a standard pc and uses standard PC monitors and Printers. Many different configurations of the recorder are available and each unit price is quoted on a configuration type basis. Storage space can be from 40 Gigabytes up to 1000 Gigabytes depending on the application and / or storage needs. Video is compressed and stored on the hard drives for future viewing.
